"The nun of the Cathedral of Durango"

In the 1950s, during a French intervention in Mexico,a nun named "Beatriz" who lived in a small convent on the outskirts of the state of Durango, fell in love with a French soldier whose military headquarters Was nearby from that place. 

Every day and at the same time the young soldier passed by the company of his troupe along the main street in front of the convent and Beatriz always saw him through the window of his bedroom.

One day, a soldier named "Fernando" arrived at the gates of the convent asking for help to the nun because the Mexican army had ambushed them and between the exchange of shots and was wounded. At that moment and in the desperate situation of the fight against the French, Beatriz decided to give him asylum for a couple of days while recovering his state of health.

As the days went by, Beatriz and Fernando fell in love with each other. Shortly afterwards, the soldier had to withdraw, since it was the end of the consummation of the French intervention, not without first saying goodbye sadly to his beloved, whom he promised to return someday. While his troop searched for a place to hide, the Mexican army found his whereabouts and shot all the soldiers, including Fernando.

Beatriz did not know what had happened to her lover because she had been months since her departure. At no point did she lose hope and every day went to the bell tower of the cathedral of Durango to await the return of Fernando.

Unfortunately something tragic happened, one morning as the priest opened the main door of the religious temple, he noticed the body of a woman who lay lifeless, apparently had fallen from the bell tower from a height of more than 30 meters. Days later the identity of the victim was discovered, Beatriz, who surely expected as usual the return of her lover.

It is also rumored that one day Beatrice was waiting for her loved, she saw him arrived with a beautiful red rose,so she threw herself excited from the higher tower, but this was only an illusion of Beatrice, in her madness and desperation she thought she had seen Item.

Since that tragic event, some people who walk around the Cathedral of Durango, ensure that every night the silhouette of a woman in the bell tower, is the late Beatrice who still begs the arrival of her loved?
