REGIONAL STORY "The nun of the Cathedral of Durango" In the 1950s, during a French intervention in Mexico,a nun named "Beatriz" who lived in a small convent on the outskirts of the state of Durango, fell in love with a French soldier whose military headquarters Was nearby from that place.  Every day and at the same time the young soldier passed by the company of his troupe along the main street in front of the convent and Beatriz always saw him through the window of his bedroom. One day, a soldier named "Fernando" arrived at the gates of the convent asking for help to the nun because the Mexican army had ambushed them and between the exchange of shots and was wounded. At that moment and in the desperate situation of the fight against the French, Beatriz decided to give him asylum for a couple of days while recovering his state of health.
